The tiffin and the planet: why steel beats disposable every day
A single office worker generates 12kg of takeaway packaging a year. Our tiffins have zero.
The average Perth office worker uses 240 disposable containers a year for lunch — most of them plastic, most of them going to landfill. That's roughly 12kg of packaging per person per year, per Waste Authority WA data.
Our tiffins are 304-grade stainless steel, food-safe, and last for years. We wash them at the kitchen every night with a commercial dishwasher that uses less water per load than washing up a single takeaway container at home.
The math is simple: one tiffin, used five days a week for a year, replaces roughly 240 disposable containers. Multiply by a thousand customers and it's a quarter of a million containers avoided.
